Digital Twin Consortium Releases Digital Twin System Interoperability Framework

The Digital Twin Consortium (DTC) announced the release of a new white paper entitled Digital Twin System Interoperability Framework, authored under the guidance of the DTC Technology, Terminology & Taxonomy (3T) Working Group.

The white paper “characterizes a dynamic and scalable framework for interoperable and interchangeable systems that empower digital twin system-of-systems,” highlighting the value of integration between numerous, diverse systems.

“Interoperability is critical to enable digital twins to process information from heterogeneous systems. The Digital Twin System Interoperability Framework seeks to address this challenge by facilitating complex system of systems interactions,” Dan Isaacs, CTO, Digital Twin Consortium.

Seven key concepts of the DTC Digital Twin System Interoperability Framework:

  1. System-Centric Design
  2. Model-Based Approach
  3. Holistic Information Flow
  4. State-Based Interactions
  5. Federated Repositories
  6. Actionable Information
  7. Scalable Mechanisms
